Yuengling Brewery

Driving Tour to Yuengling Brewery

Last year, those who attended the French Lick Parade and went on the Buffalo Trace Distillery tour were able to explore the oldest operating distillery in the United States.  This year, we are offering a driving tour to the Yuengling Brewery, the oldest brewery in the United States.  Many beer drinkers are undoubtedly familiar with Yuengling beer and it is located less than 90 minutes from the Kalahari Resort.  We will be taken on a private guided tour of their entire operation.  Tasting of two different beers will be offered at the end of the tour.  Additional samples are only $1.  Following the tour, we will take a short walk to the Roma Pizzeria and Restaurant for a great lunch buffet consisting of a selection of pizzas, sub sandwiches and a baked Ziti pasta dish. Non-alcoholic drinks are included. The return trip back to Kalahari is on your own.

Important note: This tour requires climbing stairs and walking up a hill from the parking area up to the gift shop starting point so it is not suitable for handicapped attendees.  Also, the tour requires everyone to wear fully closed shoes, e.g. no open toe OR open heeled shoes, BUT you can buy a pair of closed toe and heel shoes for $7 in the gift shop (think Keds) and keep them afterwards!  They have limited kid’s sizes as well.  Otherwise, you will not be able to go on the tour.
