Art Show

Welcome to the 2022 Porsche Parade Art Show!

“Design must be functional and functionality must be translated into visual aesthetics, without any reliance on gimmicks that have to be explained.”

By:  Ferdinand Porsche

Allow me to introduce myself!  My name is Rose Ann Novotnak, Art Show Chair, and I would like to personally invite you to enter the Art Show this year. Just as Volunteers fuel PCA, Creativity fuels our Art Show.

If you enjoy expressing your enthusiasm for PCA and things relating to Porsche culture through art, this is an opportunity to share your creative side with other Parade attendees.  All Parade entrants who are amateur artists, amateur crafters, and Porsche aficionados are invited to participate in the Art Show.

There are a number of categories that can be entered, seventeen in all, which are based on your experience and artistic expression.  We enlist the assistance of seasoned judges to honor the leading achievements in each category.  In addition to awards for each category, there will be a Best of Show, and a People’s Choice Award.  If we are fortunate to have a member of the Porsche family in attendance at the Parade, there will be a presentation of the Porsche Family Art Award.  How exciting would it be to have your art entry receive such a prestige’s award?

Artwork must expressly depict Porsche culture, design, engineering, and/or heritage.

Entrants for the Art Show must be current PCA members, affiliates, or family members.  Artists must be of amateur status to participate in the Art Show.

Parade entrants are eligible to participate in the Art Show and must select “Art Show” during Parade Phase II registration in order to participate.  Additionally, each Art Show participant must fill out the Art Show online Eventbrite form, found HEREto provide details on the artwork to be submitted.

Eventbrite is also used to sign up for the Art Show Awards Ceremony/Reception on Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The reception is open to the Artists and their guests only.  This will be the first viewing of the Art Show which formally opens to Parade-goers on Tuesday morning.  One award, the People’s Choice Award, will be presented later in the week after the show has been open for general viewing.

Please note that categories are subject to change depending on the numbers and types of entries.  There are four main categories for the Art Show:  Photography, Studio Art, Artisan Crafts, and Young Artist Exhibition with several subcategories.  These categories will be open to amateur artists aged 16 or older.

The Young Artist Exhibition class is for our Parade participants age 15 and younger.  The Young Artist Exhibition Class will be displayed and judged as a group.  Any art form (must have Porsche theme) is eligible, and all entrants in this category will receive recognition for their entry.  This category will be displayed and judged as a group.
